HIGHLY RECOMMEND By Cynthia Scott I had read a horrible book on Wicca (I'm not even going to give the name for fear someone will seek it out to find something horrible) on the unlimited Kindle reading list and went on to read this and was most pleasantly surprised. I am well versed in Wicca but I was bored and no matter really what subject we're on about, when the subject relates to Wicca I'm interested. I expected your typical Wicca 101 stuff but this book is meaty. It actually gives you real metaphysical material to chew as opposed to a few rituals that don't really explain why you're doing what you're doing. If you start here on your path to just about any spiritual discipline you've got you some really good advice (minus some of the extraneous and in my opinion unnecessarily verdant warnings - which I find bothersome, for josh sake don't scare people off the topic! One or two simple warnings that are specific would have sufficed in my view). It gives good explanation of Wicca in particular, in a refreshing way too. It is not the same old stuff rehashed. Although it certainly contains the basic premises, it does so with a slant that is original and fascinating even to someone who had felt she'd heard it all on the subject. If you're looking to start a spiritual journey and are confused this will clear you up on several fronts. It's reliable, down to earth information that I would definitely give to a newcomer to devour and definitely think about for a good while before going further.

I immediately became suspicious of them because I had some preconceived notions about what the Wicca religion was and was soon set straight. Authors Maeve Finken and Victor Tarantella give a wonderfully simple explanation of Wicca, the spirituality and magick that is attached to the beliefs and gives a hint at the possibilities for those who choose to follow the path. Misconceptions are addressed and put to rest and there is some incredibly interesting and inspirational information about this religion. A very well written guide.

I have always been intrigued by the topic of witchcraft, magic, and other occult religions and lifestyles. But I never really had taken the time to learn anything about any of it in-depth. I just basically shared the same uninformed & misguided stereotypes that most people have on the subject. But after reading this book I now have a full understanding on the Wiccan religion, as well as so many other occult topics, that I now can actually form an honest & unbiased opinion. The author really does an excellent job going into great detail about all of the facets of the topic. It really is an occult deep dive that will leave you feeling like you've just had a complete course on the subject. It will also give you the ability to actually have a knowledgeable discussion or conversation with someone whenever the topic comes up in the future. So if you are looking for a book that really explains the Wiccan religion and other relevant occult topics & lifestyles, then look no further! I highly recommend you put this great book on your summer reading list!
