Joselyn must make the right choice to have the loving companion she needs in her life.The only question is, did she make the right choice when she loves two different men. And, will she ever be able to stop thinking about her past.Great continuation of the serial. As can be expected with a serial of this length, expect for the pace to move quickly. But, also expect to be entertained with the smooth dialog and spicy scenes.

It tells of the fashion designer struggling to survive in that cut throat industry. The story begins with her return from Africa where she has been working with AIDS victims. While there she met a billionaire playboy and enjoys a wild fling with him. Returning to the US, she concentrates on selling her line to a celeb. She met and is dating a steady man with whom she sees a future, but her African Billionaire shows up on her door step. The story tells of her balancing act between her career and the two men. It is erotica, so beware if you offend easily.

On Christmas Eve night 1902 in Telfair county, Georgia, near the town of Jacksonville, a Christmas tree-lighting celebration had just ended at a rural church, built on the site of an old Indian fort near the Ocmulgee River. One of the churchgoers stepped outside, carrying his infant daughter in his arms. Adjusting his coat against the winter wind, he felt in his pockets for his pipe and set the little girl down for a moment. As he lit his pipe, shots rang out and he fell dead, bleeding out into the cold Georgia dust. Children and adults alike screamed and scattered. This was the final shot fired in what later became known as the Georgia Squatters War. Brainard Cheney, a Lumber City, Georgia, native later wrote about the events of the Squatters War in his historical novels, Lightwood, River Rogue, This is Adam, and Devil's Elbow. Rivers, Rogues, and Timbermen examines these novels from a literary and historical perspective. In this work, author Michael Williams, Jr. identifies some of the historical figures behind these novels, including some of his own ancestors, and analyzes Cheney's works from a literary perspective, comparing his major themes to those of the Agrarian writers at Vanderbilt University in the 1930s and 1940s. In doing so, he celebrates the exploits of the early Telfair County pioneers and criticizes the unspeakable violence and unfettered capitalism by northern industrialists that raged across the county in the late 19th century. Brainard Cheney's novels identify the sacred relics of the Wiregrass region and demonstrate their importance and redemptive power for human beings. Among these are the Altamaha and Ocmulgee Rivers, the land, crops, and family. Cheney's novels weave together history and fiction to preserve in text a forgotten culture. Author Michael Williams urges his readers not to underestimate their importance as history and literature.

About the Author Michael Reynolds Williams, Jr. was born in McRae, Georgia, and grew up along the banks of the Ocmulgee River in the China Hill community in Telfair County. He attended the University of Georgia after graduating high school and acquired a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. He later received his master’s in English Literature from Valdosta State University. Michael chairs the department of Arts and Sciences at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College and teaches composition and literature at the college. He is the editor of the college’s literary journal, The Wiregrass Reader, and was the recipient of the college’s Rick Perkins Instructor of the Year Award in 2014. Michael still lives on his family’s farm in China Hill, Georgia, with his wife Jana and his two daughters, Joley and Sarah Kate.

12 of 13 people found the following review helpful. Clear and easy to understand By CCJ I find this book to be very clearly written and easy to understand. It is like a primer on many different aspects of Buddhism, from the point of view of the author who has trained and taught mainly on the teachings of Atisha and Je Tsongkhapa. Readers of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's others books will notice that there is some of the same content here, but with different wording and organization. There is also a lot of new content. In my opinion this book is geared toward someone new to Buddhism, however I think practitioners of all levels will find plenty here. The explanation of Tantra is very clear and easy to understand.

A Unique Presentation of Buddhism for Modern Times By Wisdom Moon This book is quite astonishing, containing as it does, in one small volume, all the teachings necessary to attain enlightenment. What's so unique is that it contains both sutra and tantra teachings from the Ganden Oral Lineage, or the lineage of the great Buddhist Teacher Je Tsongkhapa. It's very unusual to have such a lucid and clear explanation of both of these sets of teachings in one book. First there is a very clear presentation of the lamrim or 'Stages of the Path to Enlightenment' teachings of sutra and then there is an extensive and practical explanation of tantra in general, and of the Highest Yoga Tantra practices of Heruka Body Mandala and Vajrayogini in particular.The material is presented as a practical guide to developing wisdom and compassion, with italicised meditations embedded in the text which allow contemplation while reading. The publishing of this book is a unique event, as such a clear and concise presentation of Buddha's teachings, suited to the modern day practitioner with a busy life, has never existed before. As such, I highly recommend it.

Modern Buddhism for beginners and experienced practitioners By Jenny I have the paper and free eBook copy of this book that includes the entire path of Buddhism in a qualified, thorough, clear, and concise manner. I have found this book to be very beneficial for myself and others. I treasure Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's teachings and am amazed (but not surprised) that he is offering this book for free (in eBook format) so that countless living beings may benefit from the pure Dharma within it. I have many of his books and find the teachings in Modern Buddhism to be consistent with his other books, but there are some subtle, beneficial differences in this book that are not in any of his other books. Geshe Kelsang always seems to be relating to people of the current time. He seems to constantly hone and clarify the teachings so that they are easy for modern people to read, understand, and put into practice. Because the eBook is free, I have found it to be very easy to "give" to others who might not otherwise have access to the book. Many people I know have found this book extremely helpful in their daily lives. I highly recommend it and rejoice that it is free for everyone. I love being able to have the book in paper format as well as on my computer and on my smart phone. I have pure Dharma with me wherever I am--coffee shops, car repair waiting areas, etc. With these teachings (this book) easily accessible to me at all times, I always have the option to choose a positive, virtuous attitude.

Freeman I heard the original sermon series at Gateway on this topic and am so glad to see it in print! Pastor Morris truly has a heart for helping people become truly free in Christ through the redeeming power of the Holy Spirit. There are spiritual forces at work and they seek to entrap all individuals. Only in Christ is it possible to find true freedom from the god(s) of this life. Even the body of Christ has to deal with these spiritual battles. Breaking the snares of greed and pride are especially important in the church today. They are addressed in chapters 4 and 6. And, in our pornography-laced culture, finding freedom from lust is absolutely essential.This book provides a clear and useful "how to" guide in finding deliverance. I HIGHLY recommend it. As a father and husband I believe this is essential reading for families. God Bless Robert Morris. God Bless Gateway Church. And, God bless this book! Let it be used to help millions.

Are you unable to break free? As Christians we know in our hearts that God is forgiving and wants us to be happy but sometimes we just can't get past our problems, trials or mistakes. When we truly repent and ask forgiveness from the Lord then we are on the way to healing. Of course, the enemy wants to hold us hostage and captive by our doubts and fears. I believe that God sent Truly Free (by way of BookLook Bloggers), written by Robert Morris. to me. It's truly a godsend as emotional suffering and pain from past sins had recently begun to wreak havoc on my soul. If you're experiencing hardships due to repeated mistakes you can't seem to quit or past mistakes you can't get over this book will be a certain blessing to you, too.I appreciated how Robert Morris shared his personal experiences with his readers. He, too, had trouble breaking free from sin (pornography) in his life. It's a daily struggle for all of us to conquer temptation but some sins have deeper roots and are harder to conquer. Through Bible verses and stories Mr. Morris talks to us as if he's a good friend. A dear friend that loves the Lord and cares about others very much. I cried often as I read through the pages of Truly Free. The guiding words and loving prayers were a healing balm and an encouragement to me. I can't tell you how much I needed to read this book. If you're struggling, I greatly encourage you to also read it. God loves you. He forgives you. Don't let Satan and his demons hold you hostage. Praise the Lord, there is hope for the hurting and hopeless! Thank you Robert Morris for writing this book and thank you God for your endless grace and forgiveness!

Sims' "Confessions: Words from the Heart" contains the stories of two friends sharing about difficult, dark times in their life. The trials they faced seemed nearly impossible to overcome, including addiction, yet they were determined to move forward. If you've experienced addiction, many of the things these friends share is relatable. If you've never experienced addiction, reading about the blunt reality of addiction and what led to it will be an eye-opening experience. Reading Ruby Jewel and Linda's stories is a powerful experience that is very emotional at times, yet these are stories that will grant the reader important insight into the struggles of addiction. If you want to read a powerful book that will impact your life, this book is a must-read.

I felt like Red was very stupid in the beginning even though she knew what snake was doing but before the book was over she wised up. Snake name fit him perfectly. I didn't care for Roc or Dimples!! If you haven't 1 clicked you better get on it!! Good job Destiny!!

I loved Reggie though I was saddened at the end. Sometimes I couldn't stand Redd, but she pulled through for me. You will not be disappointed when picking up this read.

Man wird ausgenutzt und soll immer mehr schaffen und die menschlichkeit bleibt auf der strecke. Die pflegversicherung ist das letzte, denn sie vergisst, dass man mit menschen umgeht und dies kann man nicht im minutentakt nach vorgabe tun. Habe selbst 18 jahre als altenpflegerin gearbeitet , frau dueck triffts genau, aber keiner will es sehen..papier ist geduldig, ich hoffe dass diese schreitischbuerokraten einmal selbst in den genuss ihrer tollen pflegeversicherung kommen. An addition to your catty Bast library By Anna A book of prayers/hymns, rituals, poetry, food ritual recipes, short stories, and even artwork for Bast worship especially feline adoration. This is a lovely collection to add to a cat person's library, especially for someone who works with Bast. If you'll like to know more about Bast in the perspective of Her devotees, this will be the right book for you. I bought this book to understand Bast in worship and after reading it, I have a lot more better understanding of Her than I did before reading it.Most of the short stories featuring Bast were very peculiar, but unique and inspiring. Much different from the other devotional books from Bibliotheca Alexandrina that I own. It was also interesting having ritual food recipes which I at first thought were cat food recipes! Unfortunately, I will not be able to make them due to my strict diet. I enjoyed the Bast hymns/prayers, but I felt they may been a little weak. Some were a little confusing to decipher. There were a few ones that were memorable to me.There was also mention of giving cats milk as treats in some writings which is not totally healthy for cats. Cats can be lactose intolerant, so there should be a warning to mention this.Besides a few things, this book is worthy to be owned by a Bast devotee/cat lover.

By Rahul Mereand-Sinha This frank and yet sensitive story of a mother coming to terms with her feelings over her daughter's sexual orientation also provides a wonderful view into the Jewish experience in Scotland, the evolution of public (and private) attitudes towards the LGBT community, and being a Boomer parent. Combining wry humor and an impressive amount of introspection, the narrator take us through her daughter's entire life, sharing the highs, lows, and little quirks that lend humanity and verisimilitude to the journey.Accepting the social revolution in attitudes regarding sexual orientation is not at all the same thing as foreseeing (or being comfortable with) the challenges of actually parenting a gay teen in a supportive manner; I imagine this book will invaluable for parents as they attempt to adapt the rituals and expectations embedded in our culture to these changed circumstances.

I highly recommend this book! I forgive because God's forgiven me! There are days I struggle when a past situation comes back into memory and I can get angry or bitter. This book helps with that! I Loved the set up, butch and femme, and relationship but no relationship. It was written well in terms of feeling and action. I did struggle through some parts in figuring out who was who and mixing up pronouns. A good editor should be able to fix that.This is a very short read. I think it took me all of twenty minutes to get through it, so it’s hard to write a review without spoilers. It’s steamy, it’s endearing and it was well worth my time.I downloaded this book off Smashwords on a free promotion.

Stephanie Fast shares her story of being abandoned as a child, being found, and eventually being taken in under the wings of a family. She was brought into this world as part Korean and American, which wasn't accepted in the Korean culture her mother was a part of. She was called a terrible name, which meant something horrible. When her mom took her somewhere so she could travel to be with another family member, a series of devastating events happen while she is lost. She ends up in a place that others probably sometimes die at. She continues to tell her story of how she suffered even after life got better for her later.This is an amazing story of survival, hope, and the start of a healing process I believe Stephanie went through. I liked how she shared this not just as her story but also in a way that tells how her story is so much like the stories of others who went through (and some are currently going through) the same type of thing that she went though as a orphan. I know that no two stories about surviving as an orphan are the same, but I learned from reading this book that they often go through some of the same life experiences and feel some type of emotional pain and have emotional scars later in life. The open letter from Stephanie at the end gave me some anticipation about hopefully reading her next book about how she lived after she survived the devastation she endured.I believe this will be a great book for people that are currently orphans to read, to give them some hope. Just an incredible story on so many levels. I don't think I could survive if left outside for a week, let alone as a young helpless child left alone to survive for years. God's hand is so apparent throughout this story, and I was greatly moved and greatly encouraged by Stephanie's transparency. May God bless this book and give us all a heart to reach out and help the helpless around the world.
