About the Author ABOUT THE AUTHOR I've had stories running through my head all my life. I tried writing a book when I was younger, but after a very nasty rejection I stopped. At the time I needed to support my family. I'm the father of eight children and rejections wouldn’t feed them. Now that I'm semi-retired I have the time without the worry. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A Pleasant Feel Good Read By JCGriffin I read Mr. Mortensens work at the suggestion of a friend at work. I went at it with rather low expectations, I've been asked to read a lot of inspirational fiction books and usually find them hum-drum; a lot of false dilemmas.While the pacing started slow the characters are likable enough and the lead persistent enough to catch you and keep you involved. Moreover, I'd liken it characteristically to being the fly on the wall of your own family's interactions. So there is a really pleasant home factor to it. It kept me reading.Also, there is a world of tragedy and sorrow, sometimes its nice to see it receive some resolution, sometimes that makes a great story too.
