I loved that this short book had so much details in it. This author cuts out the fluff and stuff and gives you what you want and need to know. Loved the chemistry between the two and loved the background on both characters. Great read

The chemistry between these two light up the pages and by the end of the story you are rooting for them with a fist pump in the air. Seriously, how can you go wrong with a sexy cop and a lingerie store owner?I like Marcus’ protective style and Scarlette’s “I am my own woman” attitude. I am always tickled at people that make big proclamations like “I will never fall in love”, and these two do it up big with the “ I will never” statements. I like the clunky-ness of the romance; they can’t decide if they want to move past friends or be lovers without losing their guarded and fractured heart. This friends to lover story is funny, sexy and leaves me feeling happy.The editing is good, the pace works, the plot is relevant and relatable however I would have liked more depth to Vincent and conflict that ensues. The character development is good and if you’ve read “ Let me Love You” you will appreciate the continuity from Jaden and Valerie’s story.I will add this author to my auto buy release day list. She has a fan in me and after the 6 books I’ve read, she shows that kind of stamina and sustainably that lets me know she is talented and I am all in.

ENJOYABLE By Betty Holloway This is my first time reading anything by this author and I am so impressed with her writing style that I will be seeking out more of her books. I found this story to be well written as was the character development. The relationship buildup between the two protagonists was sweetly done with just enough angst to keep you interested enough to keep on reading to find out how they would end up. Throw in a dose of intrigue via an unknown assailant trying to bring harm to the heroine; the re-entrance of a long lost family member intent on running her life, and the discovery that our heroine is a member of a Louisiana wealthy family trying to marry her off, in order to increase their wealthy status, and the read gets better and better. Though I prefer a little more (alright a lot more) umph in the bedroom than was displayed, the scenes had just enough to keep you interested. All in all I recommend both this read and its author for your reading pleasure; that is if you are a reader of contemporary rather than erotic romance. I shall read another of her books to see if she gets more descriptive in the bedroom scenes.
