Most parents know that children very often say remarkable things. What keeps us going are those precious moments when we can see our children’s sense of curiosity, humor, logic, justice, and self-awareness come to life. This awareness is revealed in the delightful things they say—funny, clever, thought–provoking, sometimes a bit embarrassing. We think we won’t forget them, yet we do. So when our son Luciano began talking, encouraged by friends, I began to carry a small notebook with me and recorded his innocent observations, the little gems of that almost all children come up with. We think you might recognize some of these same ideas occurring to your children and smile with us. The following pages record some (but not all) of the comments made by our son between ages 2 and 5. I hope that parents who read them will find similarities with the innocent—yet sometimes profound—comments made by their own children. I hope that my recording these precious little moments will help readers remember their own children's formative years, and let them relive (if only for a moment) their own childhood and will bring a smile to their lips. I wish you happy reading. Enjoy! Ida Nalbandian

THIS IS MY WAY TO DICOVER IF THE BOOK IS FOR ME TO READ. IN READING THIS BOOK I DIDN’T FOLOW THE SAME RULE BECAUSE THE TITLE “DOES GOD HAVE A BICYCLE?* WAS ENOUGH TO CONVINCE ME THAT THIS WAS A MUST-READ BOOK, AND I WAS RIGHT. READING IT WAS A JOURNEY NOT ONLY TO CHILDHOOD BUT ALSO TO FATHERHOOD. TO SAY THE LEAST IT WAS A WONDERFUL DRAEM. NO ONE SHOULD MISS THE OPPORTUNITY TO READ IT. IT’S HARD NOT TO BE DISTRACTED BY THE CHILDERN’S ATTRACTIVE AND JOYFUL ARTWORK THAT ORNATES THE PAGES OF THE BOOK.

By Linda Sans When most parents' colorful memories dissolve with the passing of time like clouds in the sky, Ida Nalbandian patiently and skillfully takes everyday, ordinary moments spent with her children and crafts them into humorous and touching poetry. Her simple and realistic style makes us feel that these children are part of our families. She puts us in touch with the wonder that was ours when we were little. Children are the great artists of this world and Ms Nalbandian captured this in her unique way. LS

By noonjan This collection of short stories is perfect for reading with young children before bed or any other time of the day. They are filled with imagination, wonder and warmth! Perfect for a baby gift, for toddlers or preschooler. The language is clear and simple enough for an early reader at the kindergarten or first grade level. Would go well with a pair of cozy pj's after a warm bath!
