17 of 17 people found the following review helpful. Disappointing. Not As Advertised. By Bookaholic I bought this book based on the title assuring that it was a book with Positive Affirmations. That was misleading. From the beginning it was quoting a new version of The Bible, which I didn't expect. There were no Affirmations. For a book purporting to be about Affirmations, where were they? Finally, at the end of the book were pages of short prayers, nearly all indicating they were "in Jesus' name." These were not affirmations. This is a Christian book which is fine if that's what you want but if you want Affirmations, this isn't the book for you. For those of us who aren't Christians, in failed on two levels. It needs to be properly slotted as a Christian Book and needs to be retitled because it is not a book of Affirmations.

It has positive Christian centered affirmations to the back that are very powerful. I loved it and would recommend to all those who are looking for a good positive affirmations daily.

The author does a good job explaining the relationship between the words we speak and the power they hold over life and death. This is a good tool to use daily!
