But, will someone please tell me why is the leading man in this book ( Rhys ) has no guts or backbone. If you know something is not right come on and look into it. How can he not know he was in love with Nina all of those years but everyone else can see it. Desiree played this fool to the end. She knew what she was doing to get her man but will she be able to keep him without laying a guilt trip on him just will not work. I feel sorry for Nina she is the only one that got hurt in all of Rhys selfish silly actions. So, in order to keep from facing the truth about his feelings he just continue to tell lies just to have his cake and ice cream. How he not know his true love is he slow. This is book that will read again and again. I just hope that the second book is just as good and longer.

By Dorothea Creamer This book covers all the emotions that one can feel, it made me sad that Rhys didn't have the back bone to tell Des that he was in love with Nina. It made me happy when I thought he had gotten it together and was going to leave Des but he made it worse by sticking to the plan of marrying her which was stupid because when he decides too leave her and get back with Nina she will still try to kill herself so he just have hurt her all over again. This book also made me laugh a lot at Rhys and his humor with his enter actions with his brother. But most of all it made me cry for the hurt that he put himself and Nina through. This is a outstanding read and I will be re-reading it again and again like I always do when I enjoy a book can't wait for part 2 and 3.

By psimpson Rhys is nothing more than a delusional, self centered, sniveling coward. He leads his true love (Nina) thru a web of lies and deceit. And, then betrays her in the most painful manner. Wow !!! What a guy. Just what every woman needs, a man who wants his cake and eat it to.As despicable and weak as Rhys was I could not help but to be drawn to the character. No, I'm not a glutton for punishment. It's rare when you read a male's perspective of the mental and emotional anguish he experiences with love. What makes this man tick? Is it Arrogance, Stupidity or simply, Fear.Looking forward to The Pain of Insanity. I'm hoping Nina is able to rebound and move forward. Just enough to bring Rhys to the brink of Insanity.
