What Could Possibly Go Wrong... is the sixth book in Jeremy Clarkson's bestselling The World According to Clarkson series.
No one writes about cars like Jeremy Clarkson. While most correspondents are too buys diving straight into BHP, MPG and MPH, Jeremy appreciates that there are more important things to life. Don't worry, we'll get to the cars. Eventually. But first we should consider:
· The case for invading France · The overwhelming appeal of a nice sit-down · The inconvenience of gin and tonic · Why clothes are no better than ice cream · Spot-welding with the Duchess of Kent · And why Denmark is the best place in the world
Armed only with conviction, curiosity, enthusiasm and a stout pair of trousers, Jeremy hurtles around the world - along motorway, autoroute, freeway and autobahn - in search of answers to life's puzzles and ponderings without forethought or fear for his own safety. What, you have to ask, could possibly go wrong...Praise for Clarkson:
'Brilliant... laugh-out-loud' Daily Telegraph
'Outrageously funny... will have you in stitches' Time Out
'Very funny . . . I cracked up laughing on the tube' Evening Standard
Jeremy Clarkson began his career on the Rotherham Advertiser. Since then he has written for the Sun, theSunday Times, the Rochdale Observer, the Wolverhampton Express & Star, all of the Associated Kent Newspapers and Lincolnshire Life. Today he is the tallest person working in British television.

By The Big F More in-your-face bombs from Clarkson, with social commentary and reviews of cars. Or should I say Audis and Mercs. Normally, I would give the man five stars. He writes superbly and is FUNNY. But just how many Audis does he need to review? A little more variation would work. But I'll continue to buy his books and read every word, not because I'm a disciple, but because I like good writing and good British humour.

Each column is a car review, though like Top Gear, sometimes only nominally. Incidentally, the columns occasionally refer to "star ratings" accompanying the reviews, but the actual ratings are not included, at least in the Kindle version. I'm not sure if this applies to the print edition as well.As with other Clarkson books, several caveats apply for non-British readers. He's writing in a UK newspaper, so expect to not quite get some references that are "too British" and/or related to "the news of the day" of a day now largely forgotten. Also, most of the cars reviewed are ones you probably won't ever have a chance to drive in North America. Often because he's discussing weird little cars sold on a strange continent where a significant number of people buy cars with diesel engines for some reason. Or because, even though they're freely available here, few of us ever have the opportunity to drive Ferraris, Aston Martins, Lamborghinis, etc. But they're fun to experience vicariously, and I also find it interesting to have a window into a very different market for "normal" cars than the U.S. - where, for instance, Japanese cars are generally disdained for reasons I still don't quite understand, and people seem to think Ford is a British company.Apart from the caveats, there aren't many surprises here. If you enjoy Clarkson on Top Gear or in his other books, you'll probably enjoy this book too. If you don't, you probably won't.

Not the 6th "Accirding to Clarkson" By Barbara Albritton On the full Amazon site this is described at the 6th in the "World According to Clarkson", it is not. It is a compilation of his Sunday Times motoring columns which are well-written, but not strictly social commentary as the others are. The Kindle site and Amazon app. describe it correctly, but in order to purchase you have to go to the full site. I would have ordered a sample, but buoyed by the "6th in the series" comment (because that's what I was hoping it was) I went ahead and purchased it.
