It's actually an expanded re-issue of an earlier version. Like all of his works, it reads easy with lots of humor and great illustrations.The book begins with a very fair and easy-to-understand description of the Atheistic Theories of Big Bang and Evolution. From there, each point is methodically and logically DESTROYED, again, in simple "layperson" language. It will have you laughing!Unlike others who have tackled this subject, the historian King also reveals the dark political forces which have shoved this false science down our collective throats. The most powerful parts are the closing chapters in which King expands upon the deep philosophical and moral implications which logically follow from the inescapable reality that there must exist a "intelligent creative force which animates the Universe". I was moved to tears....What a book!

By Gurumax I like Kings style I must admit* He is provocative and tackles subjects that others shy away from (see Bad War, another great eye opener) BUT this boy does his home work, he digs and he doesn't skirt around the issues, you get it between the eyes*I'll confess I got this book more because of this than the topic of the book, although I have been aware of the many serious flaws in Mr.Darwin's theory for some time* But wow, King comes out from his corner like Mike Tyson, jab jab knock out!I think that Kings style is so easy going and readable (Gladwell is similar) that it's easy to miss his intellectual acumin, he thinks for himself and is not swayed by PC, 'in' theories or academic credentials or credibility, he uses Occam's razor skilfully and ruthlessly*I have no religious beliefs or hangups, I would say I'm agnostic, but having read this book I'm re-examining my beliefs and thoughts on this, you can't ask more than that from a book, well OK you can, its also funny and has some great cartoons!I would pay top dollar to see a debate between the author Mike King and Richard Dawkins (I read God Delusion and its more about poo pooing the religious believers and some of the nutty and downright harmful stuff they have done and continue to do than answering the holes in Darwin's theory)I have no hesitation recommening this book, its well research, well argued, funny and polemic - but you will need an open mind as we have been so well indoctrinated that it seems almost instinctual to resist the material despite the strong arguments put forth by King

Some of those around me seemed to make viable arguments for the latter. This book was what I needed to start my journey back towards a life filled with a love for God and a knowledge that everything has an intended purpose. Although some opinions of the author are excessive and I may not fully agree with them, the core idea of Intelligent Design resonates deeply within me. Thank you for helping me to reach upward and march forward!

Highly emotional story of a son's relationship both with his father and his mother and the rest of the family, made even more emotional and absorbing by the author's depth of feeling for his dad after his dad's stroke and by his almost real life but imaginary " conversations" with his dad as his dad continued to make little progress if any after the stroke. A wonderful grasp of human life.

Excellent introduction to Kabbalah for Tarot Readers By Rachel This book is designed to be a brief introduction to Kabbalah as it applies to Tarot and to give beginners a foundation that can be expanded upon with the upcoming Magician's Kabbalah by Marcus Katz. The book fully lives up to its purpose and has given me many new ways to approach tarot study and tarot reading. Even if a tarot reader didn't plan to further study Kabbalah, they could benefit from reading this book.

A must-read for the intermediate Tarot reader By scoraccio3 A solid, expertly written book on the relationship between the Kabbalah and Tarot reading. Likely a time-wrought product of not only the author’s experience, but of a crowdsourced influence within a community of like-minded enthusiasts; blog posts honed over time and collected as well as a layer of fresh perspective.Ideally, this book is intended to bridge a general working knowledge of Tarot to another book called the Magician’s Kabbalah by Marcus Katz (will check it out as well), but I think it would work fine as a lead-in to any other advanced book; Crowley’s Book of Thoth or his later 777, as examples. One could do it without a book like this, but there is certainly an advantage to the author's approach if only for the reinforcement of the ideas.Plenty of specific and detailed information from choosing a deck, each card alone and in the context of the Sephirot then through to a fairly extensive list of other vetted resources. And it is not half Tarot and half Kabbalah – it is a blend throughout; weaving the relationship into a didactic whole.Minor and Major Arcanas are handled in depth, individually and in groups as well as a section on Reversed cards. The chapters on Spreads are insightful and give the reader tools to develop one’s own strategies for making other meaningful spreads.One of the few books in this genre worthy of a second read, and the reference materials are curated rather than regurgitated.The value here transcends Tarot reading and inspires a desire to see how Kabbalah integrates into daily life. Highly recommended and I hope it serves you well.

British is back and will stop at nothing to get Gabe back in her life. Using her daughter London as leverage British prolongs getting a DNA test doneto spend more time with Gabe. Pierce is having secret meetings that would surely upset the happy home. Cam is going against the grain trying to make deals with the Mexicans and break away from the Cartel. This could be costly to both him and Gabe. British has confronted Pierce and shown her the evidence of her and Gabe. Pierce is devasred and now the happy home is now in a uproar. After Pierce's accident all the secrets are coming out and Gabe will stop at nothing to get back at British. Even though it's not good to keep secrets inh the end Pierce did what was best for her and the well being of her family

Pierce wasn't as innocent this go round and even though she wanted to handle things on her own, she should've trusted more than just Domingo. Disco was downright dirty for what he did and I wish Meme would've thought things through better. I never would've expected Cam to go against the one who always kept his best interest at heart. I couldn't stand British. She took things entirely too far and then learning about who was the real father to London proved just how trifling she could be. Michael was so dumb and found himself in a messed up situation. Pierce stood up to her family like a true boss but I know there's more brewing. I can't wait for part 3 because I'm not too sure if Tish can truly be trusted.

This book is about a young boys struggle to understanding where God was during his abusive childhood and the many struggles that followed. After being classified as deaf and retarded in the seventies when it was actually ADHD and physical signs of abuse unnoticed by educational professionals, he was tracked as a Special education student. Ignored throughout elementary to high school, he grew up with very little education. Suffering from low self-esteem the boy Chris medicated himself with drugs and alcohol to cope. His abusive household made it tough to feel safe and then he was a victim of abuse from outside the family. Although life was miserable a lot of the time he found happiness in his beautiful surroundings where he lived. Like the beaches in Northern California, the redwoods in the Avenue of the Giants and the beaches of Southern California. Because of his sexual abuse from a babysitter as a child and constant physical abuse by his mother and family, he learned not to trust women. So he used women as a physical outlet and never getting close enough emotionally to have any kind of relationship. He came to regret this decision as he got older and lost a good wife because he did not know how to love her. Luckily, he was able to meet some good people from different churches who helped him find a purpose for God. Although he was still angry at this so-called Heavenly Being for allowing some much pain in his life. As a young man he found out life was better with faith, then without it. After having children, especially three girls, he had to learn to trust and love women or he would lose his second family. There was a lot of misery, but some how humor was there to save him.

I enjoyed this book By Ashley Cain I enjoyed this book,im not much of a reader and it kept me wanting to read more, had its slow parts but it had its happy parts and at some parts in the book it was very emotional, made me feel what the writer was feeling.makes you realize your life isnt as bad as you think and you get to put yourself in someone elses shoes and step into there lives for a min.

The book begins by enlightening the reader to the love story of Ryan and Amanda Leak, who got engaged and married in the same day. After their super big day, they posted a documentary on youtube about their surprise wedding, and the video went viral.After the initial introduction to the authors' story, the book moves on to talk about singleness and how to prepare during that time period of life, relationship obstacles, leading and submitting, expectations, culture, creatively loving, and much more. One of the chapters that I particularly appreciated was one on sexuality, particularly relating to ones who have had premarital sex or who struggle with sexual temptations in some way or another. With so many people struggle with this issue, I thought the Leak's take on it was great, and a much needed address both to those who have failed in this area and to those who look down on those who have.Overall I thought this book was a great resource for those looking to lead a Godly, fulfilling, intentional relationship with their significant other, future or present. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Beautiful Love Story By Oak Tree Amanda Roman wanted to get engaged and married on the same day – and her fiancé Ryan Leak made this happen. The One, written by both Amanda and Ryan, not only chronicles the story of their relationship and marriage, but is also filled with sound marital advice.It was intriguing to see how Ryan planned a “surprise wedding.” You can tell this couple communicates well with each other. I thought it was interesting that Ryan and Amanda waited to say “I love you” to each other until they were married – and though this wouldn’t be most people’s choice, it seemed to work for them. This book ultimately demonstrates that every love story is unique, and for issues unrelated to to morals and ethics, there isn’t necessarily a right or wrong way to do things. Getting engaged and married on the same day is a unique feat, but it’s part of the Leak’s unique relationship and love story.The One has a lot of great insight, and I especially liked the Leak’s discussion on mentor relationships. Ryan and Amanda also share good advice about things to discuss before getting married. At the end of each chapter, they include some thought-provoking points: one question to ask yourself, one thing to remember, and one thing to work on. Ryan and Amanda are a beautiful couple inside and out, and this book conveys that they want others to truly be happy in their relationships.

Read it and allow it to help prepare you in your journey to becoming The One! Dating? MUST READ...this will be a great resource for your relationship is and how you should move forward and maybe tweek a few things in your current relationship. Married?? Great! It will challenge you as a man to continue to lead your wife and set her up for success and as a wife it will challenge you to continue to submit and support your husband. This book is for everyone! Great work Mr. & Mrs. Leak and may God's favor continue to be on your lives as you step out with this amazing story!
