About the Author

Norvel Hayes is a successful businessman, internationally renowned Bible teacher, and founder of several Christian ministries in the U.S. and abroad.

Brother Hayes founded New Life Bible College, located in Cleveland, Tennessee, in 1977. New Life Bible Church grew out of the Bible school's chapel services. The Bible school offers a two-year diploma and off-campus correspondence courses. Among its many other outreaches, the church ministers God's Word and hot meals daily to the poor through New Life Soup Kitchen.

Larsell Many of us dream of giving up comfort and security for absolute freedom but lack the courage or confidence to really give it a go. If your mind ever goes there, this book will strike you to the core. If not, it might just take you there. The author is either imaginatively delusional, or has figured out the secret to the universe and living life to its fullest, but in the end it really doesn't matter because it's all about the journey, and hers is remarkable. Her ability to share her story and inner dialogue will both validate and confuse the reader who is searching for a higher self, while demanding proof of its existence. Melissa has her finger on the pulse of the richness and potential of human experience as well as the internal struggle we all face. Whether you're a spiritual idealist or a pragmatic materialist there is something for everyone to relate to in this story, and certainly something to be inspired by. This book will not be easy to put down. Jump down the rabbit hole. See where it takes you!

By montanaphlowerco I came to this book through the notice by Carrot Quinn of its availability and quality. The style is engaging, authentic and instructive. I will recommend it highly. The threads of human mycelium reach places and people beyond our ken. Most may never make this sort of journey, satisfied to know it can be made, yet too fearful of the cost. I read so many books that I know what's going to happen and it's like where's the originality. Now to the good stuff this book took you through the motions. I was still mad at Rhys(from part 1) but felt bad for him because he's just a man that loves hard and truly want someone to love him equally as hard. I wanted to ring Nina neck sometimes like girl if you don't get it together and stop pushing that man away but you understood her pain. Towards the ending now had me like wait wait wait what's going on here and when did this happen (I won't spoil it *winks*) In the end I hope love prevails now with who I just don't know anymore. I love Rain character just as much as Nina's now . Still want it to be Rhys & Nina. Can't wait for part 3Ps. Desiree needs to get it *rolls eyes*

I do not understand how can he go from loving one great woman unconditionally to the point of no return to just forgetting that lies he told and the things he did, hurt her so much that she had to take sometime by herself to think about her self worth. He does not know the meaning of "Patience is virtue". I knew that he would eventually start liking Raina or Rain bc he started treating her like he did Nina, calling her and talking to her about the events that was happening in his life. The men in this book are not loyal bc they jump from Team Nina to Team Raina depending on who Rhys is confessing his love for in that particular moment. The author is trying to show that Nina is hiding something since her mother said that Nina has some faults also, but I really hope that Nina continues to be the wonderful, loving, determine, caring female that she has been through out the two books. Rhys is making her act out of character and he does not see that he is to blame for her insecurities. Rhys needs to learn how to love himself bc he does not know what love is bc he continues to hurt the main woman that he calls LOVE!! I am hoping that the author will have someone for Nina and let Rhys end up with Raina bc it has been expressed that Nina is an awesome woman to have but apparently Rhys just does not and will not appreciate her. I need for Nina to be happy bc she is portrayed as being a loyal, faithful person I am really hating that the author is now trying to make her seem dishonorable. Raina seems ok but SHE IS NOT NINA and I could not and would not read the love scenes between her and Rhys and for him to be so intimate with another woman did not sit well with me, bc supposedly only Nina and him had that kind of connection and for him to give it to someone else just rubbed me the wrong way. I can see why Nina did not take him seriously all the years bc he really wasn't serious, she should sign the divorce papers as well and be done with him. Desiree is loony and needs to be locked up!! Colby Taylor u are so right these men are not from the Hudson series bc those men knew how to love and did not play any games to claim their women. Waiting on book three with my fingers crossed hoping for the best ending to this series!!!! Keep writing and I will keep reading!!

By Dorothea Creamer Author Colby Taylor have done it again first the Hudson Series now the Love and Pain Series she just keep pulling out 5 stars rating hitters one right after the other. She has taken me on a complete emotional rollercoaster ride that I thought I would not be able to recover from all the drama and suspense and mystery that started from the beginning all the way through to the end of this installment. The author has developed her characters so well it is like reading about family are close friends. It was hard to put the book down and when I did put it down it stayed on my mind until I was able to get back to reading. I have cried so much from reading this series along with getting so upset at Rhys and Nina and their bad choices. From the beginning of the series the author had me thinking that Rhys was a unstable person not knowing what he wanted, he went from being so in love with Nina to marrying Desiree out of guilt knowing that it would hurt Nina and make things worse. Then there's Desiree and conniving self. Then to add to the mix there is Raina who is Rhys friend/lover who has been in his life for five years and is really in love with him and he is just now realizing that she might be the one he truly loves, but you never can tell with Rhys. Then there is something about Nina that just isn't right she have a lot's of skeleton in her closest herself I am not so sure that she is really in love with Rhys like she say she is because she is always running from him until she see him getting close to someone else. Plus her mother has hinted at Nina is not perfect. I can't wait for the next installment (which I need ASAP), because I need too see what happens to Raina will her and Rhys be together are will Rhys and Nina be together will we get to find out when Rhys and Nina got married was it before he had that fake wedding with Desiree. And what is really going on with Nina why she keep running from Rhys when it look like things is going to work out with them. This Series is a most read.

By Stuart Dunn Catholic Saints for Children is one of the latest releases from Ignatius Press and Magnificat. The book is just under 100 pages, but it packs a punch in content. There are thirty saints covered in all, and they are arranged by order of their birth, with the exception of the Blessed Mother being placed before St. Joseph. In addition to well known saints, like Peter and Paul, there are some lesser known ones, like Blessed Frédéric Ozanam and Blessed Charles de Foucauld. Each saint's entry contains a one page biography, what the saint can teach us and the intercession he/she can provide, a prayer, and an illustration of the saint.With thirty entries, you or your child could read one entry a day, and not repeat a chapter until the next month. This reduces reader fatigue that parents can often get from reading the same book over and over again, but with a book like this you will want to read it many times over. I enjoyed reading the articles on St. Benedict and St. Dominic as I have a particular affinity toward them. The book is done in the same style of The Catholic Bible for Children, which was released in 2011, both in artistry, size, and the presentation, i.e., French flaps. Thus, these two books are perfectly complementary and if you are buying one you should buy the other. Five stars!

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. More than just saint stories! By Brian F. I got this book for my 3 year old. We have other saint books, but this is unique. After the story of the saint there is an application which talks about the virtue you can ask for from this saint. For example Saint Peter's virtue application says, "You can ask St. Peter to give you his fervent love of Jesus, and to help you welcome the tender gaze of Jesus, who forgives beyond all our expectations." This is our first book with Saint JPII for kids and Blessed Mother Theresa. My son is excited to get into it! The pictures are beautiful too!

By Dorleen Duffy Ms. Goff has hit it out of the park with her newest release.....Bri from the Planet Anca!! A must read for kids!, Lisa is an amazing author with an understanding of children with physical disabilities and helps us realize that we are no different than someone with physical limitations........but we all have limitations....just in a different way.. Add this to your library for great reading for your children. I enjoyed it so much myself and could not put it down until I had read it from cover to cover! This book also covers the subject of adoption in such a charming way as well.Thank you Lisa, for the deep understanding and love you shared in this book. Cannot wait for your next book!!!

About the Author Steven R. Cook (M.Div.) has been studying and teaching the Bible since 1990. He is protestant, evangelical, and conservative. Studies in the original languages of Scripture, ancient history and systematic theology have been the foundation for Steven's teaching and writing ministry. It is packed with scripture to support each point presented, which is important to me. After all, the Bible has the final say! I like that when something is stated in this book, there are scripture references in parenthesis that support it. This means that, even though the book isn't extremely long, I can basically use it as a study guide with which to delve into the Bible. I will definitely recommend this book to others, and my fiancé and I each have a copy!
