By NELLY KOHSOK It is the most interesting and amazing book I got to read !it brought me back to my childhood memories......and just that was an incredible feeling !and then I read it to my two young girls, aged 9 and 12 years old.....we talked about it for a long while...it got them thinking about their past experiences with friendship.....and the why....and the how come.......and many feelings got to get sorted in the process...why did such and such friend disappear from their lives.....why did they miss so much one particular friend....how come they got joy or pain from one special friend...And I got to tell them about my childhood friends, and how I felt....It was a great bonding experience !!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks Mrs Bell !!!!!!!NB: oh, and I should not forget about the wonderful paintings on each page......we have been back on brushes and paints since then trying to associate each of our friends with an image....

Doesn't seem to be a children's book to me. I don't see children fully understanding the impact a good friendship has on their future. Rather, I think this is a lovely gift for that lifelong friend, an expression of gratitude for the love that is shared. The artwork is lovely, and very inspiring. This reminds me of my mother-in-law, who has lived next door to her best friend for 60 (yes, sixty) years. They raised their children together, loved and lost their husbands together, and do look forward to their friendship lasting forever. I really enjoyed this book. It has been an inspiration.

And of course read it...Cannot wait to read and share with the children in my life...such touching, deep yet very realistic, no-nonsense messages! Messages that help us "adults" discuss these very important life phases with younger minds but through THEIR young eyes. This writer is a very old soul! They are indeed all life lessons ones does learn, live or hear about, but to put it in a book with such vivid, colorful, inspirational images enriches the messages that much more!
