From the blog complete with audio clips to the products (my "don't put the duck there, it's totally irresponsible. He'll be much happier on the swing" t shirt), to this book, there is little this man says in his sleep that doesn't amuse. Not for the faint of heart, not for children (definitely!). You may find yourself snorting milk through your nose at some of the outrageous things he says. Strangers will look at you and worry about your stability if you read it in public, as the snickers can't be held back. What caps it, for me, is imagining it all said in a crisp British accent. Makes it even funnier! You will grab this book whenever you need an instant mood-elevator, and it doesn't stale on re-reading.

By turns gently humorous and not at all safe for work, he dispenses nocturnal wisdom like some demented Delphic Oracle. When mild-mannered Englishman Adam Lennard wakes up, he's often as amazed as anyone what STM was on about in the night.When his American wife, the long-suffering and often-amused Karen Slavick-Lennard, created a blog to immortalize Adam's sleep-talking alter ego, the blog quickly went viral. This led to Sleep Talkin' Man t-shirts, coffee mugs, and eventually this gem of a book containing the best of STM's words of wisdom and...other things. Prepare to laugh your ass off.

The words that emerge from this guy's mouth are almost unbelievable, but there's more to it than that. If this were just a collection of goofy quotes from an unusual Brit, that would be funny enough, but author Karen Slavick-Lennard also breaks up the chapters by relating the story of how she met and - much, much later - married the Sleep Talkin' Man. Best of all are the illustrations by Tom Daly, especially the drunken super-hero known as Koala Man.
