About the Author Riiva Williams (26 years old) mother of one was born in St. Thomas USVI and raised in the British Virgin Islands from the tender age of 7 months old. She was born to Livia Donovan-Hodge of St. Thomas, USVI and Vincent Williams of St. Kitts in March 1989. Riiva grew up in the small quiet community of Carrot Bay and attended the Leonora Delville Primary School and the attended the now Elmore Stoutt High School where she graduated 60th in her class. At the age of 12 years old, Riiva started writing small pieces of poetry but that did not last long as she quickly thrust herself into her schoolwork. At the age of 21, she became a member of a poetry group called C.R.A.K Poetry out of Dorchester, MA where she performed for the first time at Slade’s Bar and Grill. Three years later Riiva branched off on her own and started writing stories. To date, Riiva has over 200 pieces of poetry, which she has written over the years. Currently Riiva and her son reside in the British Virgin Islands.

What was supposed to be just school, class and men turned into an adventure of drama and cat and mouse for Brie and Rich. These two who found themselves irresistably attracted to one another did not realize how high the stakes really were. The deeper you get into this love traingle the more dangerous it becomes. Secrets would be exposed. Lives would be destroyed. I found this book to be well written and entertaining.The author has a style that makes you feel comfortable with every word. There is an honesty and almost autobiographical quality about the piece. I'm not saying it is, I'm saying it is very believable. The characters are well developed and we are able to get into their heads. We undersatnd their motivations and why they do what they do. Through first person narratives we are able to empathize with the characters and their struggles.The fact that these were college kids become just one of facts about Brie's life. There are many. She has her own demons to face and her life is about to get more complicated. Her roommate Shanna is also facing challenges. As these characters interact, one begin to realize why the author titled the book cruel intentions.

The characters are realistic, with Brie an independent woman who knows what she wants. Rich's friends Nick, Peanut, and Jay-P are richly portrayed, with Jay-P harboring a dangerous secret.
