A stupid, sex craved, love depraved doormat. She had no depth. You learned nothing about her other than she didn't really respect herself. A waste.

Well, Syd is the BFF of Stephane Trudeau from Undeniable Love. This is not a sequel, but a stand alone that delves deeper into who Syd is not only outside of her friendship with Steph, but all the drama she continues to through with one Phil “A$$hole” Hartley (I’m not making this up. She has him programmed in her phone like this!) This is probably the realest story Ms. Piaget has written yet, and when I say real, I’m referring specifically to the situation many of us ladies find ourselves in: Loving a man who ain’t no damn good for us, but because he puts it on us so good every time, our feelings begin to transcend the physical.Besides all of the above, I really liked Syd. Her red-headed, green-eyed behind had some flavor and not in the white-girl-trying-to-act-black sort of way. She was genuine and endearing to the core. Syd was beautiful, confident, and curvy. Her only flaw was loving a grown-a$$ man who still played teenage games, and like all man-children, they never wanna come correct until another man steps in to take the crown.As aint-sh*t as Phil was (we got a glimpse of Syd and Phil’s complicated relationship in Undeniable Love), he too, sneaks his way into your heart. What is it about bad boys that just make some of us lose all the common sense God gave us? I know Syd and I aren’t the only ones. Oh, and that competition for Syd’s affection? Mr. Sexual Chocolate himself, Colton: the epitome of tall, dark, and handsome. He’s a boss-literally, romantic, cultured, and all about Syd, but whom will she choose: the blue-eyed devil or Mr. Man? Hmmmm….I found the dialogue in this story honest and refreshing. It was real talk in my book because this is how I talk and act when I’m with my girls and my man. There’s no pretense here. Couple that with some schmokin-hot interludes and you’ve got another 1-clicker-upper. Do not sleep on Emeline Piaget. She tells a really good story!
