I purchased "The Decontamination of Grey Matter" after hearing so much buzz about the release of the novel. Let me say IT WAS WORTH THE PURCHASE, I COULDN'T PUT THE BOOK DOWN. The characters are very well developed to the point where you feel as if you know them and care what happens to them. The plot itself is very entertaining and will leave you on the edge of your seat anticipating what the next page holds. I know the writing is fiction, but so often I found myself relating to the characters or knowing someone I was reading about.I don't recall ever writing a review about my Amazon purchases until now. As a wife and working mom, when you come across a great read that takes you away from your busy life and happens to suck you into the world between the front and back cover..... you have to give kudos to the author as well as inform others of what you have experienced.

Excuse my language, but 'Damn' - is about the best way to sum up my thoughts on this book. For those into 'urban' literature and everyone that isn't, this is necessary reading. Don't let the cover and title scare you, because a real surprise awaits in the pages. I know that words like 'timely' and 'relevant' are thrown everywhere these days, but they apply here. Job very well done on character development, as some left me wanting to choke the hell out of them, give them a hug, or just a high-five, because I get it! Thought-provoking, romantic, suspenseful, a touch of comedy, sci-fi, very gritty and urban, and socially conscious with dueling perspectives!Do yourself a huge favor and check out the 'Look Inside' feature. Read a bit and I know you'll want more, like I did. A 'future' where particular people are considered medically/scientifically 'sick' and marginalized because of actions, thoughts, differences, etc....future or now!? I won't say much more for fear of spoilers.Crazy Awesome fiction. Superb read. You won't be disappointed.
