Told from the perspective of three very different characters, The Wayward Wife is at its essence a tale of friendship, love and betrayal. The socialite wife of Jon Dupont, owner of Atlanta’s prominent architectural firm, and herself an operator of a church founded halfway house for single women with children, Janine Dupont seems to have it all. But under the façade of her fancy lifestyle, resides a woman who is broken and unable to control her illicit behavior. Her husband, Jon Dupont is an extremely successful businessman with his best friend from college. He’s in leadership at his church and loves his two children, but for him – the nagging doubt about what may be revealed about his other life and what his wife is up to, plague him. Robert Matthews has been released from prison on a mission: get Janine back at any cost. Now the owner of Douglas Detective Agency, Jon’s ex-best friend and ex-pro football player is back into the swing of things. As he weaves his way back into all of their lives in the most insidious and unexpected ways, what will be the end result? When these three perspectives collide, who will be left standing?

From the Author I am so glad that you stopped by to take a look at my book, The Wayward Wife, here on Amazon! It has been making a lot of waves in my community because of its explicit content, yet it being grounded in Christian beliefs as well. I believe that we should tell the whole truth and I let my characters show their full selves to you because we are all three dimensional! I think it's imperative that we change the narrative about Christian life and stop hiding that fact that we are not perfect, but seeking perfection through our walk with Christ and live out loud the real deal about how our shortcomings teaching us a better way to be! My next book is about another young lady named Faith who is tested in the dating scene of Baltimore, Maryland as an accomplished, well off, unmarried woman, looking for a fresh start in a new town... Will she find love? Well, As Luck Would Have It - will tell us her story!Testimony is the word of the day, as is love, forgiveness, and grace.Be Blessed!

Especially a fictional work of art but the "The Wayward Wife" is the BOMB!!! It's so well written and I got so wrapped up in the characters and the story that I just had to finish it. The emotional suspense was overwhelming!I can not say enough that this is a great read, especially for the ladies!! Colorful, moving and electrifying, it invites deep introspection on many women's approach to creating, maintaining, and healing relationships with self, friends, family and men. The characters are so real and multi-dimensional that it becomes easy for each of us to see part of ourselves in the characters in this work of art.Im eagerly anticipating more!!!

Janine Dupont seems to have everything. Married to Jon Dupont, a successful Atlanta architect, she has two wonderful children, rewarding work running a nonprofit, and a lavish lifestyle. Yet she cannot stop seeing Robert Matthews, Jon's former best friend.Full disclosure: I read and critiqued parts of the story while it was being developed.Alternating between the first-person point of view of these three characters, this dramatic tale explores themes of love, betrayal, and self-decption. The depth of the author's understanding and portrayal of these characters' emotions is what gives the story its fire. So effective is the pacing and so fierce is the investment in what will happen to these three that the occasional typos hardly get in the way. A good editor could have helped improve this already very good story into one that is outstanding. One of the stand-out achievements in this book is the way the characters's voices are handled. Each is strongly individual and uses vernacular appropriate to that character; I was never confused as to who was speaking.Another achievement is the handling of the religious elements. Both Janine and Jon have a deep Christian faith; Jon is a deacon in their church and Janine's nonprofit is part of the church's ministry. Their interactions with Bishop Brown play an important role in their journey. However, these elements are embedded organically into the story, viewed through the characters' eyes. Their faith is simply one part of their complex and sometimes contradictory humanity.Just in time for summer, The Wayward Wife is a great beach or hammock read.Disclosure of Material Connection: I received a digital copy of this book free from the author. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

The reason I only gave it four stars is because I personally feel there was a message and ministry in this book, but the ending tainted it. The story overall was a good one. The biblical messages could reach any marriage who is just starting out or have been into existence for many years. The ending was disappointing to me because it seemed it was making a set up for a drama series when there was a very powerful message in this book. I would still recommend this book, but would be at a cross road if it were a recommendation for a message or drama series. I became inspired when Janine was able to overcome a lot of demons she was facing and experiencing a tremendous loss. It was refreshing to see that. My heart became a bit disappointed with the cliffhanger question because I interpreted this marriage as being on their way to a healing process. This is just my opinion.
